About Allison

Allison Forsythe

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada it was during high school whilst studying a course in societal issues that I developed a genuine interest in people, their thinking, behaviour, and how they react and respond to the world around them.

Before undertaking tertiary education, I chose to travel for three months. That led to three and a half years of international travel through the United Kingdom, Europe, West Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia encompassing 27 countries. This cemented my interest in people from all walks of life. It was during this time whilst in India for nine months, that I was introduced to Ayurvedic medicine, inspiring an interest in traditional healing methods.

Upon arriving in Sydney, I developed my first career in alternative healing practices, obtaining qualifications as a massage therapist, shiatsu therapist and acupuncturist, whilst self-employed for eight years. I enjoyed my practice but found the cause of physical concerns was often due to emotional causes. I felt the most effective approach was to address both the emotional and physical concerns simultaneously. Unable to find another therapy to achieve this, I decided to change my career.

After obtaining my Diploma in Beauty Therapy, I established my second career as a dermal therapist. During my fifteen years of experience in the spa/cosmetic industry, I worked within the leading spa in Sydney at that time in an administrative capacity, before commencing my role as a dermal therapist, working within cosmetic medical practices alongside cosmetic physicians and a plastic surgeon.

Upon being introduced to Emotional Freedom Techniques in 2019, I was immediately drawn to its simplicity and efficacy in embracing one’s entire being, the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual components of ourselves. Over the past four years I have qualified as an EFT practitioner through the leading organization in America, EFT Universe, and that in Australia, Evidence Based EFT.
